Microbat homes

You may never see them, but microbats are everywhere, and ecologically important.
They are tiny bats weighing between 3 and 30 grams and are some of Australia’s most important natural pest controllers. A single microbat can consume 40–50% of its body weight in insects every night.
They are under threat from habit loss (old trees with hollows), land clearing, urban development and pesticides.
Giving them safe, man-made homes helps them to survive.
